Hopeless 2 (v2.37 - v2.39)

Post by Remus »

Welcome to NecroCity (codenamed NCY).
The 10th map is a medium size "all in one" (full featured) map.
It has been optimized for best performances, but compared to the other maps,
the level of detail is almost double.
Have fun.

Just clear the browser cache and reload.
Also, now you cannot plant mines too close to restaurant (warehouse).

I need some infos from those with mid-range (slow) computers.
What's your medium FPS value (compared to the FZC map)?

Best field to bats and rats.

Depends... I think it's better than in FZC but as I said depends, If someone with "great" connection join and I face with him my FPS drop at 10/50. Yesterday I was with 9 players in room and most of them were good and my fps was 35-40/50 but when I was with pingers 20/50...

My FPS was holding pretty well. But for some reasons the bad connections actually look a lot worse in this map.

Maybe it was just an especially bad day, but things seem to move differently in this map.

It's a false statement (and it doesn't make any sense anyway).
The bad connections are bad in any circumstances.
On the other hand, during the weekends ALL the players have connection issues.
Reason: all the ISPs have problems with traffic overflow and bottlenecks.
And finally, the watchdog log is bloated with almost 500 entries every day.
>95% of them are IPs from Turkey.

It makes perfect sense.

I see the world in 3D, but my cousin Mickey can't because he's blind in one eye. His perception is his reality. It's flat. It's just how it is.

Maybe they're not technically moving different, but they are.

Do I need to get profesorh to clear this up?

You'll get the same answer from Einstein:
In the relative coordinates system, nothing is absolute.
For this reason all the players have illusions.
For some of them the reality is even distorted.

Yes, the bad connections ruin the camps.
They send bursts of messages most of the time, your processor is under heavy load
(the network related routines) and that's why you get a significant FPS drop.
If they ruin the gameplay, kick them out of camps.

The chat is not important and I'm not talking about those "messages".
Any multiplayer game is based on network messages (player -> server -> player).

That kind of building comes with a performance drop.
If you want me to open the Cinema building, open a topic in the General Talk section
and tell me your medium FPS value in the NCY map (alone, with 4 players and in full camp).

F'n RIGHT!

Oh, say, can you see, by the blonde's nice headlights
Oh, so proudly we gazed - at those puppies, they're beaming
And she's almost all bare, and we can't help but stare
And her breats give us proof, that our manhood's still there
Oh, say, do those ches-ti-cle coconuts shake
'Or my hands, they're both freeeeeeee
Can I grab your chest cakessssssss

Play ball!

Only ATI HD 4670 is a good option.
But the 3 years old Nvidia 9600GT is much faster.
