Dear Timberwolf,
I'm SOOOOO sorry about this week, when you told me to type in > show packs and then it DID work, but beacuse of the HUGE storm in Ohio, The dumbest thing happened, A BLOODY POWER OUTAGE! Not to mention I had o wait to turn my pc back on 'cause my bro said he saw a HUGE bolt of electricity streak across the living room and strike the floor! Mom said I had to wait cause that was dangerous, ANY WAY, what is the > show packs for?

Don't worry about it. I never really thought about it lol ... I just figured you left because you were bored. No big deal.

The packs are a new feature Remus is working on in order to regulate the camps.

The idea, hopefully: Get all the players with bad connections playing against EACH OTHER, so the rest of us with fair to good connections can play without all the problems associated with bad connections.

Packs (I'm guessing here as a student; Remus, the teacher, can tell you more accurately), the way I understand them, are data packets. If you're not receiving the right amount of packs, then you're not getting hit with all the bullets. If you're giving too many packs, then you're shooting players in bunches.

Plus, players with too few, too many or a combination of bad packets show strange behaviors: blinking, instant strafe, walking in walls, etc.

In any case, having bad packets is a HUGE advantage for any player. If you're not receiving the right amount of packets and are giving too many, this means you're a super solider. You can dodge bullets AND shoot more than you're supposed to.

Take a look at our "top" players. They all have this in common. But they get to stay, though. Just not in my camp!

Wow, nice and thorugh explanation, thank-you! So, basically packs determine how to shoot and what not?

Leo,

I really want to help you.
But what do you expect me to "fix"?
To replace "4" with "A" in the command lines?

Your laptop needs to be fixed (perhaps physically)
Or you can check in control panel, settings,,,,, keyboard
Note if you change the keyboard settings.

Leo, there is nothing to fix (on my side).
But if your keyboard has problems, you can remap the keys:

This can't be done without increasing the amount of information being passed around camp and therefore would slow everthing down.
A lot of people have old computers (like me  ) and can't handle anymore processing. This is why it wont happen.

Because there are a bunch of players with stupid usernames,
starting with the next update I will change the syntax of 2 commands:
> username out turns into > N out
> username mute turns into > N mute

Where N = 1...8 (the player number)

I have to think about all of these.
Also, I'm waiting for other opinions.

Maybe, you should just allow elites or people with good connection to be camp owners only. No hackers or bad conn people. If they start new camp they should be second

Hello Remus,

I don't know what is the purpose of elite command in beginners camp.
I think it's not useful.

Some of my mates used this command before they are leaving camp.
