MouseLook

Post by Remus »

Clear the browser cache and reload the game.
Now in the starting menu you have 3 options for MouseLook:
1) baMoveCursor (the old external SW module, hosted on http://necromanthus.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and developed by Gary Smith)
2) Integrated (in the latest SW plugin)
3) OFF

Please help Adobe to investigate the mouse related issues.
Select the Integrated MouseLook and see how it works on your computer.
Please provide the following infos:
- OS
- browser
- how it works (same as baMoveCursor, worse, or it doesn't work at all)

That's good news. Can somebody from Mac post results ?
Try to move the mouse very rapidly and extereme. This case the mouse flies off the screen. Its not a typical case though while gaming.

Quiet the same and if there are any differences they are minimal. I can't say one is better than other so the same.

old macbook (late 2006) old shockwave and new, no difference (both bad). I think this PC is not compatible for the game any more
New macbookpro (early 2011) old shockwave 40-45 fps, but erratic (the more gun fire , the lower my fps.
All these have big memory leaks.

New macbookpro (early 2011)+ new shockwave :?: brb

Sorry Remus, this topic is about mouselook, i didn't have much to compare it to, on mac.
On windows i've tried it and i agree with Milan  If there is a difference it's minimal.

That's impossible because I didn't touch the mouse speed routine for over an year.
You can slow down the mouse in two ways:
1) Control Panel / Mouse / Pointer Options
On Windows XP I keep this setting on all my computers:
Mouse_Motion.png
2) the game includes 2 dev commands (for a long time ago):
> mouse slow
You'll get 50% of the default speed.
> mouse fast
The default mouse speed.

And because you're one of the best beta-testers and bug hunters:
clear the browser cache and reload the game.
In the starting menu there is a new option:
Mouse Speed
- Slow
- Norm
- Fast
