Shockwave 3D on Win XP/DX9 and Win 7/DX11

Post by Remus »

I got many screenshots with the "lemon sand" in the past 3 years.
I've collected all the required data now.
Adobe is aware of these issues and they will be fixed.

Windows 7 / DX11 (same result on Vista / DX10):
wrong rendering, good performances
Win7_DX11.jpg
Windows 7 / OpenGL (same result on Vista / OpenGL):
good rendering, bad performances
Win7_OpenGL.jpg
Windows XP / DX9 or OpenGL
best rendering, best performances
WinXP_DX9_OpenGL.jpg

DirectX 9 is for Windows XP only.
For Nvidia FX5200 use these drivers:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_175.19_whql.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
OpenGL is included.

For me Windows7/dx11 has wrong rendering & good performance 49-50fps.
Windows7/OpenGL has good rendering & good performance 48-49fps. (very little difference)

These are drivers for graphics cards.
Nvidia FX5200 is a type of graphics card.
Your Operating System is Vista yes :?:
What type of graphics card do you have :?:

There are several ways to find out.
One of them: Start / Settings / Control Panel / Display / Settings
