There are Pro and Cons for both methods (1st person & 3rd person view).
The 3rd person view does not work properly in case of small and closed spaces.
Of course, it can be improved, but that means lower FPS value on many computers.
Including yours ...

A much more elaborate "Tomb Raider" mode.
Close to perfect.

It's very good for shooting over a fence and other obstacles that are in the amount of the head, cause when you are in 1st person you can hit only top of the head but now I can hit in the chest
And of course for hiding
Milan
One, two, Freddy's coming for you.
Three, four, better lock your door.
Five, six, grab your crucifix.
Seven, eight, gonna stay up late.
Nine, ten, never sleep again..

That's right.
The advantage of the 3rd person camera is a better perspective.
For example, with the 1st person camera it's impossible to achieve this view:
3rd_person.jpg

Yes I know, I tested it. At balcony + crouch I can see a lot and they can not see me, only defect, by me, is when you face with opponent, I used to shot in the head in 1st person but here it isn't so easy...

1. Is there any command for come back from 3rd to 1st person?
2. Is this an extra load on my FPS?

Each mode has advantages and disadvantages.
1st person camera
- you feel the game, you are inside of it!
- perfect aiming
- no problems in small and closed spaces

3rd person camera
- you are more like a spectator
- fake aiming (excellent for ratones behind boxes  )
- annoying in small and closed spaces
- better in open spaces
Milan wrote:1. Is there any command for come back from 3rd to 1st person?

1. Not yet (it's still experimental).
2. I din't notice any performance drop or boost.
The 3rd person camera should be a little bit faster because the detailed HUD weapons are not rendered anymore.

Without graphics card you cannot even play.
If you get 49/50 FPS in full camp, your graphics card is very good.
See "Control Panel / System / Hardware / Device Manager / Display adapters".
That's your graphics card (probably onboard, but a very good one).

For this game use Internet Explorer (v6 is the fastest)
It's the best match for the SW plugin (best performances and no freezes).
Keep the other browsers for simple things (browsing websites, watching movies, etc)

Two v2.31 updates/corrections:

1) Kill/Death Ratio (instead of "Your Frags").
This time it's "per login" and not "per camp".

2) the camp owner cannot be muted.

Clear the browser cache and reload the game.
Check out the SMC map in night mode.
SMC_night.jpg
Note 1:
On certain computers (with buggy DirectX drivers), the right result can be achieved only if you set
the 3D Renderer to OpenGL (in the game starting menu).

Note 2:
For realtime lighting you need more processing power.

Improved Night mode (for the SMC map).
SMC_night_v2.jpg
p.s.
I found a workaround to get rid of the lighting bug on DirectX (on certain computers).
Now you should get the same lighting quality on both renderers (DirectX and OpenGL).
