:? Firefox is a diva... it works good again, most of the time 58-60 fps and just a little bit choppy.
With chrome it's smooth as before.

I get 59 FPS with Chrome (very smooth motion) and around 40 FPS with Firefox (choppy motion).
In Firefox be sure this setting is enabled:
Tools / Options / Advanced / Use hardware acceleration when available
It was already enabled. Now I have 20-29 FPS and sometimes it drops to 5 FPS. At least Chrome works so I can live with it. :D

The 8th test is about MouseLook.

As far as I know, MouseLook (lock & hide cursor) is possible only on Chrome and Firefox.

This time Chrome outperformed Firefox. While both gave a steady 59-60 fps, Firefox was slightly less smooth. I would not call it choppy. But a noticeable difference all the same. All in all, both were still excellent!

P.S. this was for test 8. I somehow skipped 7.

The 7th benchmark is for all the Hopeless 2 fans:

http://necromanthus.com/Test/html5/test7.html

What do we have so far:
- 120,000 polygons
- dynamic lighting
- realtime shadows
- particles (steam)
- video texture
- lens flares
- animated skinned mesh
- HUD weapon

With Chrome I get the same smooth motion and impressive 59 FPS.
I'm waiting for your results.
In any case, all of these make HTML5 WebGL a real candidate for Hopeless 3.
Okey! Same as before, 59-60 on both. Slightly smoother in Chrome than in Firefox. I also noted that Firefox displays colors in a brighter palette. And now "All fired up, I feel alive" is gonna be stuck in my head all morning!

Just clear the browser history and try again.
http://necromanthus.com/Test/html5/test8.html
If that doesn't help, you need to check out the mouse settings (make it smoother and slower).
With Chrome I get 59 FPS and smooth motion in any condition (including turn around and move at the same time).

I've rewrote for the 2nd time the MouseLook routine.
Now it runs extremely smooth on Chrome (at the same 59 FPS on my test computer).
Please confirm (other browsers are welcome).

Same performance for me on both Chrome (every so slightly smother) and Firefox. 59-60. Although Firefox would dip to 54 for a ms, it did not seem laggy or choppy at all. I'm really liking this html5!

Windows XP - 32bit
Firefox 37 : choppy motion and 32 FPS in Full HD (1920 x 1080).
Chrome 26 : very smooth motion and 59 FPS in Full HD.

Windows 7 and 8 - 64bit
Firefox 37 : very smooth motion and 59 FPS in Full HD.
Chrome 41 : very smooth motion and 59 FPS in Full HD.

So the latest Firefox runs perfect on Windows 7 and 8.
WebGL does NOT work on Chrome 41 and Windows XP (advantage Firefox here  ).
In any case, WebGL is problematic on Windows XP (ancient OS still more popular than Windows 8.1 now in 2015  )
https://www.khronos.org/webgl/wiki/Blac ... Whitelists
For Windows XP I keep Chrome 26 for its amazing WebGL results.

Too bad that Windows XP can't get Windows 10 via Windows Updates. :D By the way, who wants to wait until it's gonna be sure that Windows 10 are reliable, disable Windows Update automatic installation or even downloading. If you don't do it your Windows will be upgraded to Windows 10 without your permission. Even if you Windows are not legal. I already hide an update which purpose was to upgrade my W7 to W10. Now I can't find it so I can't tell which update it was... :D

The current status for desktop PCs:
Windows 7 : 58%
Windows XP : 17%
Windows 8 + 8.1 : 14%
Mac OSX : 7.5%
other : 3.5%

The main problem with the Windows XP users is that they do NOT want to upgrade.

First of all, welcome back. :P

Secondly, what kind of answer do you expect from me if you don't provide any useful info?
Processor, graphics card, OS, browser, ... :?:

And finally, a benchmark is not a game.
The purpose of a benchmark is to push the hardware & software to the limits.

This is an OFFLINE (single player) test, so the connection quality does not matter.

The 9th test is about aiming.
Compared to Hopeless 2 (target bounding box), this time the accuracy is close to perfect.
There are 2 targets for now.

For this accuracy more processing power is needed, but I get the same 58-59 FPS and smooth motion.

Do you get a significant FPS drop in case of 3 lights?
You are getting so predictable! Steady 59-60 in both even in disco mode. What happened to girl #1's clothes?

I must admit that I'm really innocent in this case. Why? Because if I really did something to the girl the girl would be naked.
