Unable to Fire When Moving Backward

Other players fire their weapons as they move backward and I remember being able to do so as well. However, for the past few months, none of the weapons will fire when I am moving backwards.

What do I need to do to correct this problem?

Also, in Mecernary Camp, there are only one or two windows through which jumps can be made. Is this a change?
