It's like you are trying to prove something to me by saying "hey look I got moderator powers" We're talking about times when I had not even used the chat at all. Kicked with a message saying "punished by slapshot" (don't want to explain this part do ya Slapshot?) Obviously, no matter what I say, I will be wrong. I'm not really here to gain authority as a moderator.. I just come on to have fun.. Once in awhile, I will toy around or tease players.. The good ones always accept it as harmless.. There are few wonderful players on here that laugh at me and I back at them.. You know who you are.. I'm not here to insult people.. It's funny that you even posted anything about this on here Mr Slapshot.. I mean that tells me how it easy it is for you to take things personally.. If you're that sensitive, I really pitty you.. Your self confidence is wrapped up on in this game and your real life must be miserable in that case. Just a few shout outs to those who i've enjoyed fighting against.. Sweetman, lupta, pteradact, lauraboom.. can't remember all the ones who gave me some tough fights but it was fun.. I think you all know I am only messing around when I talk in the chat sometimes..

Horrible moderator? I've been called worse!

But the very people you bring up would tell you what kind of moderator, player, and person that I really am. Take it personally? No, not at all. I'm here for the same reason as most other players. Do I have anything to prove with moderator powers? Absolutely not. I am one of the several who decides who is granted these powers and how they are to be used responsibly. I am here to do a job. My job is to keep this game and community free of SPAM, cheats, bad attitudes, and enjoyable for everyone. But I am also human. So I may not always be right. I truly do not recall kicking you as many times as you claim. Certainly not because you "are a better player".

HOWEVER, to show you that I am about fairness first, I will say this: If I was wrong, I sincerely apologize.

I do not kick players because they are better than me. I go up against more skilled players than you or I every day. I never take it personally. However, if I fire 4 - 5 RPG's and a player still stands, it's for one of two reasons: "immortal" (due to a bad connection) or they are running a cheat. Way too often in the beginner camps it is the latter.

And I'll tolerate cursing. As long as it's not directed another player or myself.

So if I kicked you, it was for one of these reasons.

But like I said, if I was wrong, I'll man-up and offer you an apology. But if I was right, my actions will have spoken for themselves.

Oh, and the "punished by slapshot" remark is generated by the game software. Not by me. But I have a suspicion you may see this from other players before this is over with.
he he, tyyyy forscom for telling that SLAP is horrible  Sorry slap i would have to agree with him/her for this thing.. i am very happy to hear that finally you got some enemy.. ha ha ha :pompom:

Most players come here to have fun.
Considering this is your 3rd post on the forum. I will agree that you got one fact right, but the rest of your argument is Presumptuous, arrogant and Ill informed

What a bunch of inflated nonsense... I rarely even curse that much at people through the chat. Most of the time I play the game without saying much in the chat at all. As I said above, I will occasionally joke around with people.. Just like the time when Slapshot muted me.. I was accused of being "too cocky" supposedly.. Joking around with people saying stuff like "oh now I'm gonna get ya" or something playful.. something healthy.. I've had people laugh (lol) at me for it.. Some people who are smart enough to know I'm not on here to seriously insult them.. I am just having a little fun, making it competitive. And Manga of all people.. I don't really recall cursing much at you.. Again, we're dealing with some highly exaggerated claims here. Plus, I have a suggestion to make. I mean if people are so worried about cursing, I don't see why you don't alter the chat to bleep out ***** curse words.. Most modern chat programs have this function..

Ha Why do you bother with the whole "if I was right or wrong, then I will apologize or what not.. " That is entirely subjective.. How many people have ever had the ability to judge themselves as right or wrong in disputes? Are you like a high court of your own self that can determine if you are ever wrong and always admit it? I mean you're obviously going to maintain that you are right regardless of what is said, claimed.. That is hilarious that you even say that. No one is 100% capable of always seeing every error they make, bad judgement or mistake.. You're going to have some degree of subjective, self-centered favor in some cases.

I wanted to mention something about the whole cheating issue. You seemed to express a suspicion that I may be cheating. You are a moderator and I would think that Remus would have explained some of the technicalities that can occur in the software/connection, which could cause people not to die immediately or appear to cheat. It surprises me that you thought I may be cheating without considering those technicalities or perhaps I was just doing a good job playing.

I find it odd that a moderator is so suspicious and quick to judge. Moderators usually exercise more caution.. and your initial post would have never made it to the forum.. Considering I am really not that out of hand.. I don't terrorize the players and I don't continuously do anything enough to be mentioned as someone with a bad attitude.. A moderator should mute, toss someone from the game and look for patterns of rudeness or what not before mentioning it in a forum.. Like I said.. You are taking things to personally and revealing your own insecurities.

Okay, I can see that this is just going to continually escalate.
First: I am not, nor is this a "high court". No one is "guilty until proven otherwise." I kicked you because of your language and what I understood to be a bad attitude.
Second: I have already admitted that I am human and prone to as many errors as the next person.
Third: I am well aware of connection issues that cause "immortal behavior" from other players.
Fourth: No assumption was made that you were cheating. Only an explanation of why I kick players in beginners camps. Don't think for a moment that I (we) do not watch for patterns of behavior, as well as the mechanized software that monitors this much more effectively than we moderators can.
And lastly, this is the second time you've made mention that I may have "insecurity issues" and the third time you've accused me of taking things personally. There is a lot of judgement in those two remarks and yes I will take that personally. If you knew me at all, you would quickly realize that I have a successful career, healthy family life, very enjoyable hobby as a semi-pro musician on the weekends. I enjoy game simply for relaxation and it's camaraderie. But yes, I love this game and it's community and I do take it seriously.

As to my abilities as a moderator, I play other games in which I'm not a moderator. I've run across many an a**hole, self-righteous, power-drunk idiot moderator. I feel that I really thought this through when I volunteered for this position (which by the way is also upheld by votes of the community). Actually I do understand when players feel that they are unduly singled out. I've been the victim of such a couple of times.
Additionally, had you taken any time at all to scan back through past posts, you might be quite surprised at what you would find. More often than not, I will apologize to a player and give them the benefit of doubt. I will suggest that they not be banned or be removed from ban and given another chance. But quite frankly, I find this entire discussion with you rather pointless as you apparently may have already come to your own conclusions about me.

So with all this being said, I have one more public statement to make to you:

You and I have started off "on the wrong foot" with each other. You contend that I misunderstood your remarks for bad attitude rather than innocent and playful taunts. Okay, I'll Buy that. You feel I've wrongly accused you and because I do not place myself above others, I'll own up to that. No one in this community is 100% right about anything, least of all myself. So without condition, I'll man-up here and offer my most sincere apology to you, with hopes that we can put this behind and move forward in a more positive light. And in future encounters with you, I promise to keep an open mind about your actions and statements.

Fair enough?

Forgive me Mr FORSCOM, but already had the opportunity to play with you in FZC, and I remember very well that words were not kidding when they told me I mentioned that your connection was bad and also when I tried to explain to you that sometimes the connections of all players are not always good all the time.
I remember very well that even I got to tell you that I was talking politely to you and it was not for you to tell me so many bad words as you told me.

But I do not want to prolong this matter. As I always say, I should be quiet, but I can not get no answer when I see things written here.

I will not write about this subject. Not to be construed bad again here.

I apologize for the intrusion this subject.

Yeah, this is a good enough resolution for me. I honestly don't have any bad intentions of deliberately being obnoxious to people that play this game.. I admittedly will taunt people to have a little psychological fun. And, I realize there is a thin line when it comes to taunting and being outright obnoxious/rude. I will definitely be more mindful of this from now on. Lastly.. my biggest problem is with certain players who have been with the game awhile and take it personally when a newbie kills them off with ease.. I know there are people playing way longer than me who I can easily kill off quite consistently. Those particular people sometimes seem to resent that a lower inexperienced player may get the better of them.. Others don't take it as personally and see it as good competition.. And then of course, there are those of you who can still beat me pretty consistently.. Like Manga is pretty good, I must say.. Although, I don't think you're untouchable, so will be adapting and looking for ways to beat you. Having said all that, I think this should seal this matter up for good. Look forward to playing with all of you. I'm sure you will find much worse attitudes than me on here..

Peace be upon you,

This sounds good, about being polite.
But if he still get onto nerves, what can be done?
Politely throwing out of camp, politely muting him or lastly, politely banning his account.

Clear the browser cache and reload the game.
Changed policy:
If there are no players in Free For All, the players with >1000 frags CAN join the Beginner camps.
Probably the best approach ...

Always read the Announcements topic.

P.s. A player with over 10,000 frags should not spend all their time in beginners camp.

But the countless DS after DS get annoying. Most of us use it for what it sparingly, and for what it was intended for. Killing immortals. But stepping into SMC only to get hammered with 4 - 5 DS in a row and then trip over landmines in front of the truck/weapon locations just takes the fun right out of it for me.

I played against him the other day,I dont know how he managed to get so many ds,so I can understand how you must have felt, but I never give up and I keep coming I urge you to be the same, and besides practice makes perfect .
The ds is good to be used in a stragetic way when you you see a good oppatunity, rather than just using it over and over, like some players who do the suicide we have all seen, which is selfish and annoying.

2) The DS and landmines are part of the game.

Using land mines, DS's and being in noob camps all the time is perfect for someone who wants to get as many points as it possible. It's unacceptable for players who want to improve their fighting skills. Some players don't have to know rules to know what is fair and what can make this game better and interesting.

I :agree: Karol
Also, constantly hiding behind windows/boxes in 3rd person, stalking respawn places, using armour, rpg suicide & teaming up in free for all.
Many veterans sometimes do this to other veterans, but some veterans do this to noobs all the time.
These veterans only care about how many frags they have.
They don't care if they advertise the game in a good or bad way.

If you want more new players to register new game accounts.
Then don't constantly use these tactics on new or unregistered players.

:agree: We can play this game selfishly or unselfishly, but selfishly is something that is really unfair and makes the game much less, and frustrating and annoying and takes away the enjoyment of the game.
A few months ago while playing in appoclipse city a well known player kept using the land mine on the RPG spot in the were house, and hanging around in there ,and this was happening in the begginers camp.
This is very selfish and mean good players and new players could not get a look in with the weapons, without being blown up or shot, this particular player did this a lot.
This is the sort of thing that really spoils the game, a selfish move being repeated over and over
