Chat Commands

Post by Timberwolf »

Remus,

I think we need a > chat off feature, so players can play without seeing the chat. It would be extremely helpful!

And also a > player mute feature.

Sure, why not.

2) do you want > username mute ?
A kind of punishment?
Try to elaborate.

Chat on/off for everyone to use. It can come in handy.

Username mute for policemen. It might actually save bad blood from throwing someone out of camp or reporting them on the forum if you just type "> JackFrost mute" before things get to that level.

JackFrost is also on the elite list.
So you might get: > Timberwolf mute
In this case the main question is who's faster.
My bet is on the writer, but with Winnetou never knows.

Nah, I'll leave Jack alone.

The first person I'm muting is supreme!

So the next time I say "MOVE! MINE! MOVE!" she won't be able to STOP and type "wht?" before she blows up.

After 12 or 401 times, she might get the hint.

I think chat on/off command it's not a good idea for the reason that some others can have something important to say, at least the option of username/mute it's a must...at least to stop all those spammers of how many frags they are making all time, and even to stop little kids cursing others for no reason :police:

If I type "chat off" it's not turning YOUR chat off. It's turning MY chat off!

I think it should be mandatory for to be in the elite list and have other special features that a player must have a team. Then it would be more credible.

I think this is a good idea.
But Josh & Simon should work to extend the "elite" list first of all.

Simon only comes around to tell other moderators what to do.

I'm working on the elite list!!!!!!!!!! I've found some deserving. I've found some that shouldn't even get out of bed in the mornings.

So I'll shortly have a pretty big list of okay guys and noobs who should take a long walk off a short bridge.
