Hopeless 2 WW2
A new game mod is under development: WW2
A few details:
- dedicated map (probably a village in France )
- dedicated characters (2-3 males and 2-3 females)
- 6+6 weapons (6 for allies, 6 for axis)
- team modes only (access restricted to registered players with >100 frags).
I hope to be done in a couple of months.
There will be 6 weapons for every team:
1. pistol
2. shotgun
3. machine gun
4. sniper rifle
5. rocket launcher
6. super gun (machine gun + grenade launcher)
If you want badly a certain weapon (used in WW2) to be included, now it's the best time to name it.

On behalf of profesorhr and I, just one weapon: The Howitzer!

You might get a poo-poo weapon like this one:
But I was talking about something else.

Well, here's a list of cool weapons that were used by the Americans:Remus wrote:There will be 6 weapons for every team:
1. pistol
2. shotgun

4. sniper rifle
5. rocket launcher
6. super gun (machine gun + grenade launcher)

1. pistol: Welrod (suppressed British Bolt-action)
2. shotgun: Ithaca 37
3. machine gun: M1941 Johnson Light Machine Gun
4. sniper rifle: M1 Garand
5. rocket launcher: M18 recoilless or the M1/A1 "Bazooka"
6. super gun (machine gun + grenade launcher) There were none of these used in WW2, but in Viet Nam, the M203 was adapted to the M16, thus the "M79" was created. So we can just "pretend" that it existed back then.

I agree with Steve regarding Howitzer but we need couple of them! I think me and Steve are demanding something stronger much stronger, yes you saw good Remus, let me repeat one more time, we are demanding (not asking) a nuke called Little Boy. Only with that weapon we have that small chance of winning team match.
But lets get serious what I really like to see there is GERMAN K-98 MAUSER RIFLE

Re: Hopeless 2 WW2
To make the gameplay more interesting, I think 5+5 weapons are enough.
1. pistol
2. shotgun
3. machine gun
4. sniper rifle
5. rocket launcher
And to make it more difficult, the allies cannot pick up the german weapons.
And vice versa.

Re: Hopeless 2 WW2
Now this is no joke. In 3 weeks, my brothers, and my father and I are all about to go on our annual fishing trip to Northern Ontario, Canada. One of our favorite pastimes is to shoot our "potato cannon"! Which is made from PVC pipe. There is a 4" diameter "combustion chamber" at the base, which dumps to a 2" barrel. We stuff a potato into the 2" barrel (breech-load through the combustion chamber) then spray about 2 - 3 seconds worth of "Rave hair spray" into the combustion chamber. Quickly cap the end of the chamber and press the piezo igniter button and BOOM! We can fire potatoes about 150 - 200 meters!Remus wrote:A potatoes & tomatoes launcher. Photos: This is my brother-in-law checking the breech-loaded potato...
My father and my brother-in-law getting ready for the excitement!
(In this instance, he is loading a golf ball covered with paper towel (wadding) from the end of the barrel. We were out of potatoes!)

WW2 hopeless2 sounds very cool Remus. This may be slightly off the gaming subject but for anyone interested in WW2 history here are 3 top reads on the subject.
The classic "Twelve O'Clock High" by Beirne Lay, Sy Bartlett that was later made into a film and a TV series.
"Serenade to the Big Bird” by Bert Stiles
“Of Being Numerous : World War II As I Saw It” by Bernard Friedenberg If I were to pick just one of the 3 this would be it.

WW2....... Rocket launcher.......?
You mean a Bazooka! What a name for a weapon
And the German side deserves the classic 'stick grenade' to throw.

Here are 2 reasons:
1) I don't like this kind of violence
2) new animations for 14+6+6 = 26 characters are needed
