Landmine suggestion

Post by Chomp »

When teaming up with another player in beginner camp I suggest not using landmines. Too easy to blow up the team mate. Think about it. Your team mate will be trying to go to the same strategic locations as you so why plant a land mine in those places?

Chomp,
I know when playing in a Free for All camp the one who opens the camp can use the command (> items off) which turns mines off. I believe in the beginners camp no one can turn off mines. Some players use mines and some don't. I myself pledged not to use mines. I admit when I started out I did use them, but made the choice it did not help me in the game. Yes you get a frag once someone walks into a mine, but myself and some other veterans found it does not make us better players and by not using mines it levels the playing field. I have learned to tolerate players who feel the need of using mines. One tip though if mines are being used in the camp you are playing and you walk into a mine look in the lower right corner of the screen. You will see which player killed you with the mine. It might be a register player or just a unregistered player. It is usually same someone, with that in mine work your way to the warehouse where the items are kept (different place in each camp). Stake it out and ambush the one who keeps going back for another mine. Do this enough sometime the player get discouraged and becomes reluctant to go near the warehouse where the mines are kept or better yet will get frustrated and leave the camp. Give it a try, its part of the game.

I suggest teaming up with another players in a beginner camp is not a veterans best way to advertise Hopeless2.

Hey andrey, That's a hoot but I have not played that game. Someone else is using the same profile pic.... and I thought I was being original. Slapshot went to a lot of effort to size the photo for me so I could use it as my profile pic. It's certainly a small world.

Well . it looks like an ostrich
Die2hard is a little like hopeless 2 but it has more graphics in real life.
1.) guns look really REALLY relistic
2.) There its different on how you get guns.
3.) You have a certain amount of weapons.
And you play the game to get points to unlock weapons one by one.
4.) BUT!! So much hackers, so much that I get frustrated of getting killed so many times! Speed Hack , Underground hack,And .... They Shoot Thru Walls !!!
5.) I would say that hopeless 2 is better than that game with hackers only. Hopeless 2?? NO HACKERS There ?? Lots of hackers.

Oh and about the " Hoot" in that game .... you can change your name and you have 120 photos to choose from for your profle pictures ! Cats and people and zombies .. AND HORSES! I chose the "hoot" because I think it looks funny!

The market is full of good looking craps.
Good looking game does not mean good game.
99% of these games are dead after a couple of years.
Hopeless 2 is getting 4 years old in february 2013.

Here is a VERY realistic weapon:

hello :)

I m here to share some bitter experiences

-> I observed 1 thing in past few days that, after the release of RSE

map, people have started using mines like anything [Especially in RSE map].At

every 2 step i find mines.I agree, that they are placed as a part of

strategy, but frequently getting killed with mines is really frustrating

-> so my point is,can we get the power of > items off back in beginners

camp :?: [As i cant see any one playing in free for all, except free teams]

I also agree that,to make a balance game play admin has removed this

option[items off],but is there any other solution for this???

Dont punish beginners for playing like beginners. Others should play somewhere else. :)

Why do you want powers in the Beginner camps?
Why don't you play in the Normal camps?
The Beginner camps are for beginners and they must see all the items.
Why the Beginner camps are full of veterans?
Answer: because many "veterans" are noob killers looking for cheap frags.

Actually i submitted 1 msg but it didnt appeared here....... Anyways,

I agree with admin as well as my team mate...I only tried to get out of

this...but got

My point was just to have some option, which can handle such situations..

I asked for that power coz,i hav gone through many players having frags

around 20K-50K,continously using mines ,even if there r unreg. players

except me and him/her in the camp...

And as u mentioned sir,no 1 plays in Normal camps, thats the biggest prob.

Several times,i tried to open the camp in RSE,NCY,ABC,TGY ,but after

waiting for 20 mins, atlast i have to quit and go into beginners camp. :?

Anyways,I will get use to it!!

Every day I find Beginner camps with 5-6 "veterans" of 7-8 players.

True, but I think because the vets see another vet in a beginner camp, and they join that camp. Sadly, one by one, the un-registered players and/or beginners drop out because of the competition.
I think we should make more of a concerted effort to suggest moving to a FFA camp when we find ourselves as the only players in the camp...

I agree with Slap....

I think the best option to get all the veterans back into normal camps will

be,re-introducing the same concept as before..

I mean, restrict the Veteran's access to Beginners camp.

This is just my opinion.

P.S :- I have no Offense against the mines usage!!!

We had this discussion before.
I canNOT do it (it's a bad idea).
At least for 2 reasons:
1) every day there are bad hours (hours without many simultaneous players).
2) many "veterans" are not veterans. They are noob killers.
If I force them to play in the Normal camps, they will use (again) another account or they will play as unregistered in the Beginner camps.

Yes, forcing veterans to be in free for all camps is a good idea. It's logical. I guess veterans wouldnt go to first grade of an elementary school. So why they go to noob camps? :D Veterans could spend a short amount of time in noob camps to help them, that should be a reason to allow them being there...

Remus i don't get the purpose of letting veterans play in beginner camps, that won't do much good to the game either. new player will gets frustrated easily when being killed every time, eventually they will leave the game.
my approach is restricting the access to ffa to >3000 and the access to beginner to <10000.
it 's better to have some noob hunter than all veterans turning into noob hunters.

My approach is that we all know and understand this situation, and maybe we all may have to be more "responsible", and simply ask each other to go start a normal camp. I would much rather play in normal camp with the Pro Guns and running feature. Leave the noob-hunting to those that really want to do that. But yes Syryne, not all veterans need to be noob hammers.

I don't like landmines as many of you know. Perhaps that is because I cannot set the landmine w/o blowing myself up. To set the landmine I use the letter L and BOOM!!! I'm dead! What am I doing wrong? :?:

You cannot plant the landmine close to the warehouse and respawning spots.
Pay attention to the landmine icon:
semi-transparent = you will die like a "hero"
opaque = OK

Simple enough, isn't it?

The landmine does take a little getting used to,when your moving you may have noticed the mine goes between dark to light then dark again and so on,when it goes light that when you hit the Land the mine will be set in place, and you will see it behind you if you look,it will also be flashing on your compass showing it's position.
After you hit the Lmake sure your still moving don't stop all your blow up.

Hey Remus and Hawk.... thanks for the tip. I'll keep trying. I never paid attention to the mine changing from dark to light, etc. Good to know.
