Free-team or Match SUICIDE or Killed my Team mate RULE

Post by slapshot »

In free-team or any other match game, you will lose your pro-weapons if:
1: You kill a team mate, or
2: You kill yourself.
THIS DOES NOT MEAN YOU (yes, you vilkas) CAN LEAVE CAMP AND RETURN TO RESTORE WEAPONS.

This is the penalty for the above. You must stay in finish the match and collect or restore your weapons as you play. The next player to do this in our camp WILL BE KICKED! NO EXCEPTIONS!

I have tried to explain this to players before, and they have tried to tell me that they didn't know/think this is cheating.

I've also tried to explain that killing yourself to hide the flag in CTF, is cheating.
Their reply is, this is not cheating, this is clever play.

So obviously, such players must be taught by punishment.
1.warning not to do that+explaining why it's not ok.
2.good bye, player. You were kicked out because you ignored rules.

As simple as it sounds.

Not so simple when you're playing 2v2

Indeed, but I'd rather stop playing the match than to have someone cheat to win. That's what I've learned from many of these free-team matches. And yes, I can imagine many don't think this is cheating. But ask yourself, "why would we have you lose your weapons if all we wanted was for you to exit and come back"? Not much of a punishment in that now is there?
