Hi Jason,
"Retro" is merely a mod which displays guns that previously appeared in the game. While you are using the mod, you experience the gun sounds and appearances. Others actually don't. But if you enjoy Free-Team games, just keep asking in various camps until you get a few players willing to join. No one actually "hangs out" in Free Team camps. Some of the favorites places are EGT and AZT (small camps, simple textures create the best game play. Others like to play Mercenary Camp as it was the very first camp. But be prepared to do a lot of walking!

As you can see. Some players like to play team matches, but I will admit. We also have a lot of players (veterans) who like to spend all their time in beginners camps. Nice to see your not one of them

Around here we call these players "frag watchers"
