Because that's the Depth Of Field.

ha ha, then thats definitely not for me, i cant see even in normal mode. ha ha

The Special FX won't be for you or for me.
Only in the first stage (beta) you will be able to enable/disable them.
After that it will be the same setup for all the players.

But don't worry.
Most of them will be used for cutscenes only.
Example:
all the players are interested in Kiren. The rest is not important.

Shockwave Player 12 is not quite available yet. But will be soon. (You will have to download the newer version at that time.) Once it is, you will be able to sue the Special effects button.

Shockwave v12.0.0.112 is available for download.

It's a good idea to download the FULL installer.
Now you can enable any option in the Special FX submenu.

The current SW 12.0.0.112 player includes a buggy module (Shockwave 3d Asset.x32).
The game gets the fixed module from Adobe via a forced update.
Because many people have issues with "forced updates", until a new SW player version,
I've decided to disable the forced update inside the game.
So now, if you want the best available SW player, do the following:
- get the FULL installer from here: http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/otherversions/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
- install the SW 12.0.0.112 player
- get the fixed module from here:
Shockwave_3d_Asset_12-0-1-113.zip

- overwrite the old module located in: C:\WINDOWS\system32\Adobe\Shockwave 12\Xtras\
(or C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Adobe\Shockwave 12\Xtras\ )
- reboot the computer

That's all.

Don't mix up things.
The forced update of the buggy SW module has been disabled on 27 Mar 2013.
But that was a single module of the SW player (41 modules !)
The current SW 12.0.2.122 player includes the fixed module, so no need for a forced update.

SW player 11.5 is required to play this game.
SW player 12 is required for Special FX and HD weapons & characters.
