TMK mine location

While playing against some veteran dressed as an unregistered noob (with a lousy 
connection! 
) I was blown to pieces by a mine placed here. You can't place it on the other ramp, but you can on this one. (The side with the RPG underneath). Is it intentional?

The "forbidden" areas are related to warehouse and respawning spots.
Not this case.

At one point we discussed the ability to "disarm" a mine. Or be able to purchase a device to detect one. Remote possibility?

As long as they pay points to buy a mine, it's not fair to disarm it.
But did you ever use the
Radar?

It's not the same as our standard radar is it?
