Do something to improve your connection like praveen had to

Fix your connection, you are more than welcome into the elite camps. Until then, stay in EGT and bomb noobs 500 per day.

To improve your Internet connection:

Shut off MSN and other messengers while you play!!!!!!!!!! That's step one. Shut off EVERY program you have running, except the game application.

Do not download anything while playing. Shut off your spyware and/or every other program that uses the Internet to automatically update.

If you are on a wireless signal, hook directly into your modem (equivalent) instead.

That's how you can start.

Number two: you have one of the absolute worst Internet connections I have ever seen in my entire life!!!!

Do you honestly think you have good Internet? Dude, it's abysmal and I would be embarrassed to even log onto the game if my Internet was that pitiful.

You in no way, shape, form or function deserve to be anywhere near an Elite list. Moreover, you should not even be allowed to participate in this game.

The answer is a resounding NO. And NO again. And NO some more!

I don't care if you make 300,000 frags - you ONLY make them because your Internet connection is hooked up from the Moon and routes through Saturn and all of its moons before returning to Chicago to connect with the server!

And don't give me any "I said Remus!" BS. This is Timberwolf's and Scrappitt's list. You're not Remus' little back-door man.

Guys, I know English isn't your first language. But can't you translate these things?

I've said it 100 times in 200 posts - Elite List has NOTHING to do with how many frags you have!!!!!!!

You MUST have either:

A) A GOOD Internet connection to the game

B) Pull via a moderator (Scrappitt or Timberwolf) who says it's okay that you enter

Praveen is in Elite List on a trial basis, because he's a teammate with Sheikh and Zesuga - our friends.

Not fair? Injustice? Favoritism? Yes, yes, and yes!

Why? Because the Elite List is OURS.

No offense to any of you who are not allowed in, but we just cannot allow players into this Elite mode with horrible Internet connection.

Your Internet connection is bad because:

You appear to be moving at 3x the speed of normal players in the camp. You "eat" data packets when you strafe, meaning that you appear in random locations like a ghost, thus making it almost impossible to aim at you.

You also do not receive all of the packets other players send you. This means that normal players have to shoot extra bullets at you in order to kill you.

Why don't you notice this while playing? Because...

You mostly play with others just like you. You all have the same behaviors, so this is what you consider to be "normal." However, to the rest of us, it is not at all normal. It's totally bad and messed up and not anything we want to play with.

This is why the Elite List was created - so that players with good Internet could be separated from players with bad Internet.

It is still in its infancy, but after I get my new PC and start playing again, the list will EXPONENTIALLY grow to hundreds and hundreds of full-time active players.

Non-Elite players still get to play in camp like always. It's not a punishment. But an elite player can turn his or her camp into "Elite" via command, and this means they get to play only with other players like them.

It's the fairest approach we have here at Hopeless 2.

If you all are not satisfied with this, the only other approach is to BAN everyone with bad connection.

Huh?

No, drogba. You are free to play this game (unfortunately).

You and your friends can go in all these camps and play 'til your heart's content.

You're just not accepted into this Elite Mode until which time you present a good, stable Internet connection.

That goes for 99% of people here. If you do not have good Internet, then you are not welcome into Elite.

A few exceptions have been made, but they may also be reversed.

Elite list isn't anything "special"

It doesn't grant special powers or mean that you're a better player.

The ONLY thing the Elite list is for is to tell decent internet connections from bad internet connections.

If someone has a decent connection, they are more than welcome on the list. If someone has a bad connection, they are not welcome on the list.

When we get enough players in the list, we will have separate camps.

karthik, you having some issues. You seem jumpy. Are you playing with other programs running - antivirus, MSN, torrents downloads, etc?

Remus:

Over the past month since I've had the new PC, I've been keeping track of who I've played in camp. If they appear to be good, I put their name in a word doc.

I had about 200 names, but some players I only seen once. So I made sure to only include players who I've seen a few times (with the exception of one or two I know will be back eventually).

These guys might not have good connection. But they were okay the times I played them for the most part.

ONLY the really horrible guys, like the ones moving in speedhack, taking 100 shots, not dying from snipers, etc, are left off.

So if they're not on this list, it's one of two things: I'm missing them or they suck.

Some may end up really bad and might have to be removed, but here are some names to be added to the Elite List based on how I seen them in camp.

Well, I know you Turk guys are having bad luck and most of it's not your fault.

But some Turkish guys I find with okay Internet connections.

My guess: they have no antivirus running, no MSN running, no other pages open, they play on the right browser and have good FPS.

So maybe if you try these you would have good connection.

This list is not biased in the least, except the good/bad separation. If you have a good Internet connection, you are more than welcome into this elite list. We would be happy to have you!

More to come. Obviously I cannot possibly play everyone.

Supreme, John_H, Topz, Milan, Musoi, Sheikh, and other long-time members on the elite list can also add their suggestions if they think a player is worthy of being on it.

As long as a player's connection isn't really bad, as in they're immortal and don' receive packs and don't wiggle like speedhack, they can come in.
