What is CTF and Domination????

OK finally got to 500 and am now allowed to play in CTF (free) and Domination (free). I searched the forum for answers as to what these are and could not find anything. Could someone tell me? I saw the dog, tried to shoot it but it kept walking toward the green swirl. It turned on me and growled and I lost health. What is the purpose of the dog? Why does he go to the green swirl? Any information on both CTF and Domination would be appreciated.

Capture The Flag (CTF)
There are 2 teams and 2 flags.
If you are a member of the 1st listed team, the green flag is yours.
If you are a member of the 2nd listed team, the yellow flag is yours.
Your home is the location of your flag.
You must steal the other flag and bring it home.
Your team will be credited with 1 point only if both flags are at your home.
The gameplay is AMAZING, but only for smart people.
In case of 4vs4, 1-2 players must defend the base and the rest must bring the enemy flag.
In case of 2vs2 ... it's a (funny) nightmare!
Good tactical game (my favorite)

Domination (DOM)
DOM is similar to CTF, but the objective to this game, is to make the dog follow you back to your base (Green or yellow flag/swirl). When you get close to the dog it will follow you, but dont get to close bcoz the dog bites
The first team to get the dog back to their base 5 times wins.
Not as tactical (but still good fun)
For all team matches you need at least 2 players on both teams

Technically you can play 1 vs 1, but the score will not be counted. All other matches are recorded and points are issued.
