HELP !

Post by Sootie »

I can't play. I don't know what's happened. As soon as I enter a camp, my fps drops to 5/50 and I freeze. Not only can't I move but I can't press esc to get out either. Eventually I lose connection. Probably the watchdog throwing me out. Any ideas? I already installed a new version of shockwave.
Cheers.

I didn't find you in the WatchDog log, so the puppy likes you.
Did you try a reboot?
Check out the processor temperature.
Try OpenGL.
...
I need much more details.

I think I've worked it out. There's something very weird going on with my power adaptor. The pc acknowledges that the cable is plugged in but the battery won't always charge.(???)
In that case my computer automatically goes into a power saver mode and I move like I'm underwater when I enter camp. Thanks for the help anyway Remus. :)

In case of Intel Core X, disable C1E (BIOS setting).
It will keep your processor under full load.
Max performances, but ...

Ha ha ha. I haven't the faintest idea what you are talking about... Computers, as most electrical and electronic things, are black magic to me. I know my laptop has an intel Core i5 processor because it says on a sticker- but that's about it.You lost me at "disable c1E..."

No more lower power consumption.
Simply put, if you disable C1E, the processor cannot take any nap.

My laptop has two grapics cards. If i unplug the power supply the less powerfull graphics card takes over, to save power.

Ok I understand that. I can do it via the control panel advanced settings right?
By the way I wasn't joking. I'm still baffled by things like radios, telephones and cassette tapes.

It's still 100% operational:
