Sniper lessons

Post by slapshot »

profesorhr & I met up in NCY noob...er, I mean "Beginner" camp this morning. (No one was online to play free teams with.)

We both commented how boring it was. So profesorhr decided to dig into some bushes and we began a sniper lesson :sniper: on uglydelta. The poor guy could not move without being picked off immediately. A couple of noob players joined in and soon we had the whole camp running for cover!

But the guy has heart! He stayed in there (cussing and ranting in frustration) but did not leave. He kept changing tactics and searching. We both were in the same bush for a long time without being discovered. Several times he walked right past us and agave us the advantage to shoot from close range. We even gave him hints as to our whereabouts.

I bring this up because every veteran in this game has experienced this at one time or another. Manga, JohnH, Praveen, By_Zeus would pin me down for hours. I quickly learned this skill so I could keep up. We all eventually learned from it.
Uglydelta is not yet a forum member, so I hope someone passes this along to him. We were not intentionally being "mean" (well maybe a little bit). And we did try to tell him how to find us and how to avoid being killed.

To all the beginners:
When under sniper fire:
1. Stay calm. Getting angry is what the sniper is looking for. You will begin charging around the place with RPGs shooting everywhere trying to kill him by chance.

2. Stay DOWN! Use the "C" key to crouch. When you spawn, crouch and stay still. Chances are, the sniper may be in a position to see spawn sites from. Moving as soon as you spawn alerts him and he will take the advantage.

3. Firing your weapon tells the sniper where you are. Try not to shoot unless you have someone in your sights. Shooting "in the dark" or just blindly firing away in every direction will surely get you killed immediately.

4. Watch your radar to at least get the general direction from which the sniper is shooting from.

5. OPEN YOUR EYES! He is hiding somewhere like the rat that he is. Some objects like trees, flowers and bushes are not "bound". In other words, you can move through them. They make excellent places to hide. Snipers deliberately choose avatars that blend in well with the bushes and flowers. Run your sight over every visible bush to see if his red palyer tag appears.
If he's not in bushes, he may be using "third person" mode and be able to see over a short wall or window ledge. Look for areas where he could be hiding behind. Again, run your sight over these (you don't have to use the scope) until his tag appears. He may be peeking over, then ducking behind a wall.

6. When you find the sniper, SHOOT HIM WITH THE SNIPER RIFLE, AUG OR RPG. Take him out as quickly as possible.

7. And lastly, DON"T TAKE HIS SPOT. Chances are, he will move right back to the same position. Wait for him to do that and take him out.

Once you become aware of how he works, just keep alert and when you hear the sniper rifle, drop down and keep still. Find him again and take him out. It's huge fun with 2 or 3 players in a big camp!

GOOD LUCK and to uglydelta, no harm intended and thanks for being a good sport about it! You will prove to be a very good player sooner than most!

I could not say better myself  !

P.S. I need more ammo for sniper rifle. There are so many noobs to kill in the camps. They can't see me in the flowers. All you have to do is pick up the target and shoot shoot shoot..... Well occasionaly you have to kill the chicken too (for extra ammo)

ha ha, let me share with you 5000 noob experience,
that noob didnt know that sniper has scope till 5k+ and there was a player/pro who used to kill that 5k noob with sniper and 5k noob always hate the sniper and thought that how could someone kill him when he cant even see the player. that 5k noob always run to castle and everywhere to find out that pro to kill but failed.

Finally one day that 5k noob got chance to meet 1 other pro and undead creature. There he got news of scope . Ha Ha
And realized that its scope that makes thing easier to see and shoot. Now that noob knows about sniper but even after knowing he cant kill with scope on as other player dont die with scope on so its better to use as winchester :P
and that noob was supreme :P and that stupid pro was gcool101
And Scrappitt, Remus told me about scope thingy :P
I was such a noob but daring one , haha

p.s: in those days highest score was around 13k or 15k

But the sniper shouldnt have a yellow or blue outfit. Then hiding in a green background doesnt help much, haha.

I used that trick of hiding in a tree in FZC (that we were all fooled with once) and the next thing I knew, there was a player in blue trying to hide in the tree!

1- especially smc camp Getting started with the game always starting points Use the rear output because the veteran players After hitting recruits eyes starting points and those who are output from the front strikes you immediately so use the rear output and after being hit go immediately wait a bit why wait for veteran player you 're starting from somewhere else think he's
2-trample over middle Scroll to hiding Ambush at a location or wait player with your sniper If fever right and left jump down immediately under cover If you think of the danger passes carefully Take the right and shoot the person who Scroll to try to shoot him You can lurk behind the trees in the hills of vehicles and even inside buildings by sniper fire while Aim for the head instead of the top part of the player if you do so more quickly loses power and dies sometimes even die in a single shot . GOOD LUCK ALL novices. :agree:
