"Lite Chat" works fine as long as you have 40+ FPS.

That's a keyboard buffer issue caused by OS/browser/plugin.juan507 wrote:I tried that but after few minutes I couldn't write, just wwwweewuifsuydtefd

I cannot fix something like that from a browser based game.
It's something outside the game ...

Re: Chat
I think many of us suffer this. Especially when the fps drops below 35. (Full camps, team play, etc) Aside from a better graphics card, is there anything we can do on our end to improve this?Remus wrote:That's a keyboard buffer issue caused by OS/browser/plugin.juan507 wrote:I tried that but after few minutes I couldn't write, just wwwweewuifsuydtefd

I use Firefox only.juan507 wrote:I changed to mozilla, now I can write
And the chat works fine in almost any condition.
"Full Chat" runs always better than "Lite Chat", but "Full Chat" eats more processing power.
The main problem with browsers and plugins is the keyboard buffer.
They store a bunch of pressed keys.
All those "wwwssssadaddd" are in fact the keys you pressed during the game.
If you use the CURSOR keys instead of WSAD, the chat will run much better in any browser.
But it's very difficult to use the CURSOR keys when you need access to 1...8, jump, crouch, ...
So for best results, use Firefox and Full Chat.

Re: Chat
The difference is HUGE!freekarol wrote:BTW, what's the difference between the light and full chat. I see no difference.
Lite Chat = the game engine emulates a text line
Full Chat = there is a real text input field and the game engine only generates the overlay.
The Full Chat is faster and allows many characters.
Another significant difference is the following:
press ENTER and keep pressed a letter (for example A).
See the Lite & Full results.
or
press ENTER, write something and keep pressed Backspace.
See the Lite & Full results.

Ok, now I remember why I stopped using Firefox. In the middle of the game when I right click, the menu opens and I can't close it!
IS there a way to disable this bloody thing?!?!?
