With chrome it's smooth as before.

It was already enabled. Now I have 20-29 FPS and sometimes it drops to 5 FPS. At least Chrome works so I can live with it.Remus wrote:I get 59 FPS with Chrome (very smooth motion) and around 40 FPS with Firefox (choppy motion).freekarol wrote:Opera= 58-60 FPS

In Firefox be sure this setting is enabled:

Not so good... With firefox and chrome i get as always 58-60 fps. But it's too choppy when i turn around and move at the same time.Remus wrote:The 8th test
Okey! Same as before, 59-60 on both. Slightly smoother in Chrome than in Firefox. I also noted that Firefox displays colors in a brighter palette. And now "All fired up, I feel alive" is gonna be stuck in my head all morning!Remus wrote:Excellent results folks!
The 7th benchmark is for all the Hopeless 2 fans:
http://necromanthus.com/Test/html5/test7.html
What do we have so far:
- 120,000 polygons
- dynamic lighting
- realtime shadows
- particles (steam)
- video texture
- lens flares
- animated skinned mesh
- HUD weapon
With Chrome I get the same smooth motion and impressive 59 FPS.
I'm waiting for your results.
In any case, all of these make HTML5 WebGL a real candidate for Hopeless 3.
Just clear the browser history and try again.gmi wrote: Not so good... With firefox and chrome i get as always 58-60 fps. But it's too choppy when i turn around and move at the same time.

Yes it's much better now with chrome!Remus wrote: Just clear the browser history and try again.
Latest Opera works too. Also a Slimjet browser. No wonder when they use the same rendering engine like Chrome(Blink).Remus wrote:The 8th test is about MouseLook.
As far as I know, MouseLook (lock & hide cursor) is possible only on Chrome and Firefox.

Same performance for me on both Chrome (every so slightly smother) and Firefox. 59-60. Although Firefox would dip to 54 for a ms, it did not seem laggy or choppy at all. I'm really liking this html5!Remus wrote:freekarol wrote:Latest Opera works too. Also a Slimjet browser.Remus wrote:The 8th test is about MouseLook.

I've rewrote for the 2nd time the MouseLook routine.
Now it runs extremely smooth on Chrome (at the same 59 FPS on my test computer).
Please confirm (other browsers are welcome).

Windows 7 : 58%
Windows XP : 17%
Windows 8 + 8.1 : 14%
Mac OSX : 7.5%
other : 3.5%
The main problem with the Windows XP users is that they do NOT want to upgrade.
