Two Observations

1. It appears there may have been a small shifting of the earth within the confines of the Mercenary Camp.

The lines of sight appear to be slightly different from what they have been and the boxes that were next to the primary entrance to the castle have disappeared. The boxes were to the left as one entered that doorway.

2. While twice playing the game using Google's Chrome browser, some of the weapons in the Mercenary Camp were invisible but still in place.

Second answer:

Seems like your browser is having issues. This is the type of thing that used to happen to me when I used IE - many freezes, invisible things in camp, large open spaces of no graphics. But, not to slam IE, I also had a bad graphics driver and low memory. Those things are fixed now and all's well.

Are you on a team?

Get on one. You'll see the real reason for the SMC change.

Recently, during one game, I had noticed that a player was continuously "spectating" me for almost the entire time I was playing but had no idea what it meant. I asked but got no reply.

I also noticed the difference in the shape of the castle when viewed from the "tank" sector but once inside the castle I really couldn't tell a difference. However, I can tell a difference in the sight lines when sniping but the only major disadvantage to sniping (to me) is the new tree that has sprouted behind the building that houses the MG ammo.

My computer is older and rather slow. After playing for more than 30 minutes, my avatar gets very sluggish and sometimes freezes. It is not unusual for me to have to re-boot - of course I then loose all of my hard-earned weapons.

After going back to either Firefox or IE, the weapons were all visible again.

As for being on a team, I am not. I play at such odd times and for such varying lengths of time that it doesn't seem fair to be on a team and not be available to play with the team.

This game is one of the most complex browser based games on the market
and the Shockwave plugin has a memory leak (never fixed by Adobe ).
In any case, Windows XP + IE 6 is the fastest combination for the shockwave plugin.
Also, you do NOT need to reboot.
In case of significant FPS drop, open the Task Manager.
Between others, you'll see 2 processes: "iexplore.exe" and "SwHelper_1157609.exe".
You'll notice "iexplore.exe" has a huge Memory Usage (above 350MB).
Close the browser and be sure those processes are gone (if not, manually close them).
Open the browser and reload the game .
That's all.

The next time I play, I'll try the Task Manager approach as I get sluggish and I will also look at installing IE-6 (my OS is XP).

If you are on XP, just uninstall IE7 or IE8 (IE8 is a piece of crap anyway ).
You'll get IE6 back.
On all my computers I have 2 browsers:
1) IE6 (the fastest browser for any kind of plugin)
2) FireFox 3.6 (for browsing)
The market is full of buggy browsers these days.

Interesting development:
I am on XP and when I deleted IE8, the default was IE7. However, there is no delete button for IE7. Searches for IE6 returned several hits for "IE6 Service Pack 1" but but when the download button is clicked, the screen defaults to the IE8 download page.

P.S. Firefox is also my general browser.

Very good frame rate, no more glitches and freezes.

Think that Firefox would work well on Vista?

IE sucks on Vista, so I use Google Chrome. But that gives me many glitches and the FPS drops after a few minutes when I think it should hold out for longer.

Biggest problem I have using Mozilla is that the action suddenly stops and a blue circle pops up like it's loading. I don't know what it is and don't know how to stop it.

Click on "Tools/Options.../Advanced/Update" and disable all the "Automatically check for updates".
Click on "Tools/Add-ons" and disable all the unneeded Plugins.
