Thanks Remus.
Tried those downloads. The most recent version seems the best, but not as good as it was before the changes..
I'm not to sure that the downloads are downloading successfully.
Not had much time to try and solve the problem, but will keep you informed.
Thanks again Remus and Topz.

Safari 5.0.2
Shockwave 11.0.3.470 11.5.7.609 11.5.9.615
11.5.7.609 run's the best but there's no sound
I use Mac version 10.5.8
It's my graphics card (GMa 9500) thats not good enough, but shockwave don't help, It's buggy according to Remus.
anyway thanks for asking Jack.

I use the mac, and it works
Here's the breakdown, if you have an intel processor, it should run fine (as far as I can tell)
Safari is faster than firefox in the Mac, but Safari has a really annoying bug where chatting is really hard to do (and that's my favorite feature). I have not tested any other browser yet
This should be valid for both 10.5 and 10.6

My problem is
The game run's OK, but when i start to shoot the screen start's to freeze up.
I use a Macbook with Mac osx leopard 10.5.8
2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
2GB sdram
160GB 5400-rpm hard drive
Intel GMa 950 graphics processor with 64MB shared with main memory. :?:
I think the problem is my graphics processor and 64MB shared memory, But on Mac i cannot allocate more ram to the memory.
If i change to WindowsXP, I can allocate more ram, and i hope solve my problem.
Changing to WndowsXp would be my last resort.
Is there any Mac Gurus out there that can help me :?:

oh your using a macbook
that changes everything, cause that graphics card really really sucks even on low textures (the cause of the low frame rate). I know, cause i have a similar machine.
(proof? I have an imac whose main difference is the graphics card, and it runs, if not at full speed with 3d sounds)
But I now have a new problem related to shockwave
I got a new mac which has
3.06ghz Core2 Duo
4GB Ram
nvida card with 256mb of memory
shockwave 11.5.(fill in with version recent to today)
Now the game runs fine, but the mouse cursor repositioner fails to work, so I can't turn all the way around before i hit the edge of the screen.
Any help?

When you loaded the game after installing shockwave, I get a message to install "baMoveCursor" Do you get this message and did you install it. :?:

I've uninstalled Shockwave and FlashPlayer
Reinstalled through Firefox + installed adobe air, Don't know if this adobe air is doing anything or it's just because I've downloaded the players through FireFox, but I've just played for 1/2 an hour and the game was the best it's been for 3 weeks, Still not as good as it was  but the best I'm going to get from this laptop i think.

In your Safari info do you have Open using Rosetta switched on or off :?:

baMoveCursor is a Shockwave xtra (additional module).
Both versions (Windows & Mac) are hosted on http://necromanthus.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It's "shockwave safe" (verified by Adobe and digitally signed by VeriSign).
This module is a MUST if you want MouseLook.
p.s.
Shockwave is the most secure browser plugin anyway ...

I got the BaPoint module screen, and I thought I downloaded it, but it doesn't work the way I remember it aught to on my other older computers. Is there anyway to reinstall it?

Try uninstalling Shockwave ,Then reinstall Shockwave
When you reload the game you will be asked to install baMoveCursor
I've had the cursor problem a few time before, I solved it once with this, but the other time i can't remember how i solved it, or even if it solved it's self, sorry i can't give you more help

I've uninstalled and reinstalled Shockwave + FlashPlayer so many times my heads in a spin.

Ok, so I figured out how to delete the xtra without reinstalling shockwave, but it didn't help. I guess I'll have to reinstall shockwave, (sigh)

You do not need to delete anything.
Go to spotlight (top right hand of screen), Type shockwave
shockwave11 install will be in the list, Press that.
Uninstall shockwave, Then move file to Trash.
Go to adobe and Download shockwave,
Quit your browser,Then install shockwave
Reload the game, When asked to install baMoveCursor, Install it.

If your mouse still does not work, then maybe it's something in your setting.
I think your first step should be the above.
You could be messing about with the game setting and computer setting for days.
If you've not got the shockwave and baMoveCursor sorted then you will be going nowhere

Remus on mac i have something called activity monitor, You probably have something similar on windows,
The point is when i start to play the game my free system memory reads around 1.5GB. This decreases while playing until after around 20 to 40 min, There is no free memory left, It reads as mostly active memory,
This is when the game gets even worse

Does this happen to all players, Just not as fast as it is doing to me :?:

also after playing the game, I find files and team pictures in my Trash. This only started happening about 3 months ago :?:

I know you don't use mac, But do you have any idea's why these thing's are happening.

There is an old shockwave plugin memory leak (never fixed by Adobe).
On Mac this memory leak is even worse ... :?

Is Unity3D going to take over from ShockingWave in this game :?:
If so I say the sooner the better :agree:

Would we see bad connection the same on Unity3D, as we do on ShockingWave :?:

There are 3 BIG problems with Unity3D:
- it sucks on the 2D side (interfaces, overlays, etc)
- many missing features
- SW3D is much more popular than Unity3D

Let's hope Adobe will fix the memory leak soon.
We'll reopen the Unity3D subject next year.

Ok thanks for the info

I won't go back to Windows
Looks like i will have to wait for
-Unity3D
- SW3D to solve the leak
or until I can afford a more powerful Mac.

Thank for all the help in 2010
Have a great Christmas and all the best for 2011

The severe memory leak on Macs is sounds related.
If Adobe is unable to fix it, I think I found a workaround to get rid of it.
I'm going to rewrite the sound engine on january 2011.
In fact this game is a collection of workarounds ... thanks to Adobe.

Remus I've been using shockwave 11.5.7.609 for over a week now.
Everything runs ok but i have no sound other than I can hear when female or zombie players are killed, the male players i cannot hear at all weird :?:

With 11.5.9.615 my fps are rubbish + the more bullets fired the lower my fps, with severe memory leak.
11.0.3.470 is just a no go

This maybe gives you more evidence that it is sound related :?: idk

p.s. Where's Tawlney my new best friend :?: f**king mac users

Tawlney, I've just got a new mac. When i downloaded shockwave full 64 bit, my mouse didn't work in the game.
So i went to get info in safari, changed the settings to 32 bit mode, downloaded shockwave full in 32 bit mode.
Now my mouse works fine
Hope this helps

p.s. Do you still have the memory leak :?: I do.
I can only play for 20 or 30 minutes, Then i have to quit safari and reload the game.
