How do you increase your stats at the bottom and how do you get the better MG?

1) Getting more frags will increase your mods.
2) Bypass 1) by getting a 'Pro Package' and you'll be a legend.

I'll get the points from playing and I noticed my ammo went to 10% after 100 frags. By the way, do the guns you buy with the points last unlimited time?
