Will this combination work??

Hello Sir,
Stuck with a problem:-
I have got windows 7(32-bit) in my laptop, having following configurations:

Intel Pentium dual-core T2330
252 MB mobile intel graphic media accelerator X3100
1 GB RAM
1 MB cache
160 GB HDD

Browser is IE7.
now, the problem:

I am not able to play properly as mouse movement that in my desktop PC with XP and IE provided 360 degree rotation and movement has now got restricted to 180 degrees only.
That is if I am in face-off with the opponent player and while attacking each other if we bypass each other he can easily rotate and kill me while due to mouse movement restrictions I cannot do the same.
Is this problem due to OS + browser combinations or something else?

Also downloading adobe shockwave player is'nt helping(any compatibility issues?)

Also wanted to add that mouse movement stops suddenly many times during play and starts only after sm one kills.

Even leaving camp is not possible by merely pressing esc key.

Hi Ruskin,

- the processor is OK
- 1GB RAM is not enough. You need 2GB for best experiences.
- Intel onboard graphics sucks.
For laptops, a great & cheap onboard graphics is Nvidia 6100 or 6150.
- if you uninstall IE7, you'll get IE6 (the fastest browser for flash & shockwave plugins).

Sir,
Yesterday I installed Mozilla, just to see how will it work for this game.
After doing so:

What I have observed is that the downloading speed of the game increased in comparison to earlier experiences. (I feel so, if technically not possible)

Though I got back the 360 degree mouse movement, I freeze during the play every now & then.

Is it because of the same reasons you stated above or some thing else??

Regards.

Ruskin,

The download speed is not important at all.
Only the FPS value is (very) important.
Talking about that "360 degree mouse movement", that's because of Windows 7.
The game is using an xtra (a shockwave external module) called "baMoveCursor".
It's used to keep the mouse in the center of the stage.
As far as i know, that module is not Windows 7 compatible.
It might work on certain configurations, but ...

Rsukin.
This problem happened to me before.
Can U change your OS? Windows XP and Vista all work well.
but Windows7. It doesn't. Mouse problem happens.
You can't have 360 degree rotation. Cursor can't be locked in the window of the game.
Why? Sorry, I don't know. Sometimes it worked well. but mostly it didn't.
So i changed OS to Vista. everything OK.
As to Firefox, i also tried it. but i forgot the result. let me check it.

Windows7+IE8.0 doesnt work in this game.
Windows7+Firefox work well .
So for Windows7 users, install Firefox.

That's right.
IE8 sucks.
IE6 is the best (the fastest), IE7 is ok.
Firefox 3.x works fine on all my computers.
However, Firefox has some strange behaviour: from time to time is performing
some abnormal network operations (Mozilla said that's not spyware  ),
most of your processing power is gone and the game is freezing for a couple of seconds.

Zesuga, though u experienced a better game with W7 + Firefox....but as Mr. Remus said it has some strange behavior.

My screen goes white when I freeze or am about to.
I freeze almost every step (second) as no. of players start increasing.

Its fine with 2 in camp (with me being one of the two)
with two (total three) its still ok.
with four.........bad.
with five............worse.
with six or more..............alas!.....worst......

I guess your RAM is better than mine plus the graphic card.

Thanks for yours, Supreme's and Sir's replies.
