The landmines can be removed from the "normal" camps.
But I need much more votes to do that.
So who would like to remove mines from the "normal" camp?

6 views and no reply? Is it really hard to say yes or no?

I'm saying yes. Minefields are not needed unless you don't want to improve your fighting skills. Or do you really think putting somewhere a land mine and waiting who will be killed by it will make you a better fighter?

While I don't agree with using mines, many others use them with a strategy. Near a weapon or in a common pathway to a weapon, which in real war, is feasible. As much as I hate these things, I think other players depend on them too much.

But while we are on the subject, in WLW I've been killed many times by a mine placed at the foot of the steps to the hotel. Try as I might, I cannot place a mine here. Yet at least 3 players I know have done so. One of them is a fairly new player (< 2000 frags). How is this possible? OR, did Remus recently expand the "no mine" bubble? I just tested again today....

I noticed that too. And when I want to do the same I always kill myself, hehe.

I personally rarely ever use them, but like them to be available. Gives the not so experienced players who are getting slaughtered some way to fight back a little.

It's really no big deal to me hitting a mine, and it also gives some players satisfaction to stay playing as they gain experience.

Bottom line removing mines is a bad idea

I think that the use of mines should be limited, maybe 3 times in game

p.s.also we should focus on ''suicide players''

Good point hoakin1986! We shoud limit the number of mines per player in one camp instead to remove them

 Or maybe a time delay between uses. In other words, after use, the mine simply is not available for say 10 minutes or so.

I've already thought about that.
But I think 5 minutes is the best match.
And when you join the camp, there is no landmine for 5 minutes.

Yes i like this idea very much,i am happy to see something being done about the frag grabbing landmine that often gets over used.

Even better!

At one time there was discussion about being able to approach a mine, deactivate it and steal it. Is it possible?

I didn't like the idea at least for 2 reasons:
1) if you can approach and you don't die, what's the point in using landmines?
2) that player is paying 10 points per mine.
To steal 10 points from another player is bad attitude.

 I should think I would have earned the 10 points for stealing it without getting blown to smithereens.

I do not agree, you are placing landmines in places where there is only one output option. That is unfair. :whatis:

Here we use them both.
But "eye for an eye" is more popular.
Probably because an enemy without teeth can still bite, but a blind enemy ...

Yes, get rid of them. If I 'own' the game. I always turn items off anyway.
Shame it gets rid of health pack and pizza, they are always handy.
The radar can go too. Can you get a person to person radar in real life ?
