Sorry, i don't know this.

This is just what's happening when i try to fix in that forbidden area.
Whenever i clicked L to fix the landmine the rest will disappearing like Armor,Health Pack,Radar. and screen goes like below picture.
I tried a few popular browsers as you said IE,Google Chrome,Mozilla Firefox. the result was same like the below picture.

Yes, i think i was on current version of hopeless 2.

My PC got many errors while i am playing like ieexplore.exe (when i play on IE).
When i play on Mozilla Firefox the Shockwave player keep crashing after playing sometime.
People think i was lost connection but i never.
Some of the online solutions helped me to say much longer on camp.
I am keep getting BSOD Blue Screen when i play any 3D games (expect hopeless2).
I re-installed my crap OS sometime ago and the result was same.
I think the problem is with my Hard Disk and Graphics Card (internal).
Hope i don't left this game like Gaurav with bolted crap PC errors.

I was sure about that from the very beginning.
Simply because I cannot replicate your freezes on 5 different computers (XP SP3 and Win 7).
Talking about your landmine "issue", you can still investigate (using that messed up computer ).
Please try the following:
1) uninstall the SW player, reboot and install it again (use the FULL installer)
See if that helps.
2) in the game starting menu select "Training" (OFFLINE mode).
See if you get that freeze again.
3) redefine the "L" key (use "F" for example)
See if you get that freeze again.

Also, access the Nvidia Control Panel and be sure you have these 3D settings:

Best way is to reinstall OS. But if you don't have original Windows then it could be useless(you know, cracked Windows can have problems)...

Try to find a PC forum something like this:http://goo.gl/b5xfbe
They could solve your problems with BSOD or ieexplorer.exe. I think you can also find similar forum in your language. But the forum must be about logs(hijackthis, mbam, rsit etc.) Those logs will give lots of info about your PC so others will know exactly where is your problem.

About NVIDIA control panel almost i have the same setting like you expect Force minimaps it's default to none.

Maybe i need a little upgrade to my system like Graphics Card.

I go to a Czech forum that is about security and where just professionals can help others. They helped me not just with removing malware but also with speeding up my pc. So if you want your pc to work properly you have these options:
1.ask pc professionals to help you with your PC problems via internet forums
2.reinstall OS using an uncorrupted OS installer.
3.buy an ssd = it makes old pc run really faster
4.buy a new PC/laptop, haha.
