I can not play.
Why did you update to Chrome 42?
Or maybe that automatic updates for "smart" folks?
On all my computers, any kind of automatic update is DISABLED!
If I want to update something, I do it when and IF I want by myself.
Now coming back to Chrome 42:
I think Google wants to lose customers.

They have a problem with NPAPI plugins, but they forget that Google Chrome and Facebook are pieces of SPYWARE.
Anyway ...
Type chrome://flags and Enable NPAPI
If so, you have these options
1.RETURN TO OLDER CHROME
2.USE CHROME ALTERNATIVES
3.USE ANOTHER WEB BROWSER

Comodo Dragon is good substitution for Chrome but you can gain control over new Chrome if you follow instructions posted by Remus. In both cases you will get the same result!

There are people who don't want to use Chrome for privacy purposes. Such people use Chrome alternatives. And who has low RAM doesn't use Chrome at all because it consumes lots of RAM.

My favorite browser was Opera. But they killed it so I switched to Firefox. Chrome is also OK but I'm lazy to search Firefox add-ons alternatives for Chrome.

I agree with you Karol completely! But do you know any other browser that doesn't consume a lot of RAM. If you do PLEASE post the solution here. Firefox also uses a lot of RAM, Opera is killed as you noticed also. What's left? Internet Explore maybe? I don't think so? So whats left? What about portable versions of browsers? Any ideas? Maybe Remus can help on this subject?

I found some lightweight web browsers, some of them are also portable like K-Meleon, Midori or QupZilla. Here is comparision of lightweight browsers. Firefox, Chrome and Opera are already portable. Qt Web Browser is really fast.

Keep in mind this:
1.If a web browser is updated.
An unupdated browser is not safe

2.Which web browser extensions you can't live without.
Lightweight web browsers usually support just few extensions.

3.Which engine a lightweight browser uses.
Is it Trident, Chromium, Blink or Webkit? Trident is not much safe... Webkit is fast on slow PCs.
