Hopeless 2 Forum

Just wondering:

In the past two weeks or so, things have really looked different.

We are all seeing each other as "immortal" on and off in matches.

I'm not sure why.

Some people I know have iffy connections. That I understand. Some people I've been playing recently have good connections usually, but have started taking 4 or 5 shots instead of 1 or 2, and 5 or 6 bombs instead of 2 or 3.

And I make these observations to people, obviously, and I hear back that I and my teammates are the exact same to them.

Could it be a problem at the US server level?

Our pings don't seem to be any higher. And it's not just me, or just so-and-so, or just any group of players. It seems to be everybody.

It's nothing major. But I've heard the word "immortal" more in the past week than I have in the past year+ combined. It's coming from players who have otherwise never uttered a negative word about another - the grin and bear it type.

So this seems a little fishy.

I don't think it's my imagination here.

Normally its between 80 and 140.
Is there something wrong Remus.

Today between 00:AM and 06:AM (Chicago timezone) there was a network maintenance.

Ah,, ok,, its fixed now,,(i guess,, heheh)

I now see that the page the game was very wrong.
I hope they are small faults is improving the site.

There was some on going server work thats why game was having problem.
Now its all fine.. i think Maintenance work is completed.

ahh...anyone else have "technical" difficulties with the forum and H2 loading? It wasn't my shockwave at all, it said the link was broken and H@ didn't load at all soo.....

ah, no it happened through the weekend. But I'm glad to be back on H2!

In this case, your previous entry is not deleted, but is locked for a certain amount of time.
That's why you cannot join the same camp/map anymore.

Remus cant we shift our server from Chicago to Germany?
will this cost more than Chicago server?
I guess game is going worse , this server is not good for Asians or may be for others too.
Because even normal players are seeing very strange behavior, i checked other servers of Chicago , that was giving me normal results,but this game server is treating me alien :) I am waiting from last 7 or 8 days but its not going fine, baa and even excluding me.. many are facing this problem i think.

Tell us what could be the possibility?
may be we can get one time donation from all players over here too for shifting server to Germany.

50/50 FPS ALL DAY! Smooth motion. 79ms or lower every single time I log in.

So, again, it's not my imagination.

In the past few days, almost everyone has gone to shite.

The Romanians, usually with the best connections in Europe, are now uberpros and kill in a split second but won't die after 10. The Turks...fuggedaboudit! And our poor Pakistani brethren can't even play.

I seen one guy walk over a mine, BLOW UP, and keep walking for 3 seconds until he killed me before finally dying! lmao

I was pwned earlier by 200, 300 and a 600-kill player. They wouldn't die.

My point, besides just complaining like I always do (LMAO): Something has turned into an issue here and, well, it doesn't seem to be clearing itself up. It seems to be getting progressively worse.

Like I said, it's not my imagination. I know I'm not the only one experiencing all these.

We've had a massive influx of "WTF" and "OMG HACKER!" in camps. A lot of people are having big-time difficulties.

So I stand by Kiren here...

A server able to provide good experiences for all the players of this planet does not exist.
The MUS on this server is running for too long without any restart.
Try to run the same application on your computer for 2 months and see if you can.
But don't turn off and don't restart your computer!
Probably this server needs a restart.

I can do it by myself without any problem.

Another less known thing:
during the weekends the number of internet users is about 10 times bigger compared to the rest of the week.
For this reason most of the routes are full (traffic bottlenecks, overflow, abnormal delays).
For a multiplayer game it means bad experiences.

Well, I'm not overly worried about it now that you said it just needs to be rebooted.

Hell, even on this brand spanking new PC, I will lag down significantly if it's on for more than 5 hours - so I can only imaging 5 months!

And also as long as it's not my imagination...

Because things have been pretty trippy here for the past week or so. And I don't know a lot, but I just know that it can't be me only.

So maybe next week you can shut it down for the day one day. Make a post and we'll all understand!

If the US dropped all there border controls then all the South Americans could move in, if we also send you all the Turks then you will be setup for a frag fest. Your years of practise battling the bad connections will finally pay off and you will be like Zoldyck on steroids.
The down side is that if all the new health service reforms happening in your country you will end up paying a fortune.

Well, we already have to pay healthcare costs for over 50,000,000 illegals.

So to all those smug Euros thinking Americans are cruel and greedy, remember that YOU GUYS have stricter border security, especially in countries like Sweden.

We have to pay for EVERYBODY coming across the border!

We already have most of Mexico here. I've been called esse and cabron and maricon so many times that I'm considering Mastering in broken Spanish.

So everyone come to the USA! Eventually, we'll have watered down services for everything and the new server will be in Zimbabwe.
