SW3D is a great piece of work, but its 3D engine is 10 years old!
I think it's time to move on.
I started to port the game on Unity3D.
What you should expect: better image quality and increased level of detail.
I cannot estimate the release date of the first beta, so don't ask.

Until then, here is a benchmark of the SMC map in Unity3D:

- WSAD, Cursor keys, Space, MouseLook enabled (you need to click on the stage).
- Ageia PhysX (now we can enable a few vehicles
